Unfortunately Senator Fetterman has had some serious health problems. And yes, Fetterman will definitely face a primary in 2028, if he’s still in office by that point.
Rustaveli Avenue is a major street in Tbilisi, Georgia, with many significant cultural institutions on it. Since nearly a year ago, 28 Nov 2024, protesters have successfully blocked Rustaveli Ave. But on 5 Nov 2025, Georgia’s police kept protesters from doing that. Daily protests are continuing anyway, they just do it elsewhere.
The commenter Marika Mikiashvili points out that Georgia’s ruling party, Georgia Dream, is getting increasingly authoritarian and is seeking to fine people as much as possible.
Trump presents a “peace plan” that NBC suggests had Ukrainian input, but that reporting from the Wall St. Journal and the Kyiv Independent make clear that Ukraine didn’t even know such a plan was being developed. Kyiv found out about the plan via its intelligence service. Trump very clearly wanted to present a take-it-or-leave-it deal to Ukraine and very clearly didn’t want any European inputs.
But the blueprint, which was worked out by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner in consultation with Kremlin confidant Kirill Dmitriev
It’s hard to see what exactly Rubio, Witkoff and Kushner were doing as the plan was pretty much just a copy of Putin’s 2022 demands. It isn’t really a “new” plan at all. Adam Silverstein, the blogger for Ukraine for Balloon Juice, feels that the three above-named individuals are in way over their heads and is convinced Trump is out for his own wealth and wants to be nice to his good buddy Putin. It’s also highly likely he still blames Zelenskyy for his first impeachment.
